The first studio album from New Zealand pop musician BENEE is a light hearted synth pop filled with chill beats and clever writing with features from Grimes, Gus Dapperton, Lily Allen, Flo Milli, Mallrat, Kenny Beats, Bakar, and Muroki 

Isolation- Kali Uchis 

The Colombian- American musician  Kali Uchis first full length album creates a lush and breezy atmosphere that brings in influences of reggaetón, R&B, and Latin pop to form a sound so familiar yet so distantly her own.

What We Drew- Yaeji

The Korean- American DJ/ producer newest album fuses English and Korean into a beautifully woven diary of her life. Stemming from house, EDM, and hip-hop What We Drew reflects Yaeji's ability to balance multiple languages and genres of music flawlessly.

Color Theory- Soccer Mommy 

The Nashville singer songwriter Sophie Allison known as Soccer Mommy third album is an exploration of Sadness, Physical/ Mental illness, and Death. Reliving moments of her life such as her mother's battle with terminal illness and her own battles with mental illness. Color Theory presents raw and unfiltered emotions with such power it is often crippling at times. 

Heaven To a Tortured Mind- Yves Tumor  

In Heaven To a Tortured Mind Yves Tumor molds funk and indie into a genre of their own.  two years after the release of Safe in the hands of Love a unrelenting attack of experimental music,  Tumor refines and focuses their sound into a singular avant-garde experience like no other.

Things Fall Apart- The Roots 

One of the most influential Hip-Hop groups of the late 90's and early 2000's, Things Fall Apart being their greatest and most consistent album they've made. Influenced by traditional jazz and Hip-Hop both are seamlessly incorporated to make a unique experience. 

Songs for our Daughter- Laura Marling 

The British singer songwriter Laura Marling's  eighth album after a two year hiatus is as stunning as it is sorrowful. Filled with elegant melodies and melancholic lyrics show how Marling can balance both the sweet and the sour.

Enter The Wu-Tang( 36 Chambers)- Wu-Tang Clan 

The nine member crew of the Wu-Tang Clan's first album is the amalgamation of  RZA, GZA, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Method Man, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Inspectah Deck, U-God, and Masta Killa. Each bringing a different style and groove that would seem like it is to much yet  combines into something Hip-Hop has never been able to reproduce. 

Atlanta Millionaires Club- Faye Webster

The second album from Faye Webster is a light and delicate combination of alternative folk and R&B that is intoxicating with mellow instrumentals and serene lyrics. Atlanta Millionaires Club feels so nonchalant that its almost like Webster is reading poetry to the listener.

Lemonade- Beyoncé 

The impact that Lemonade has made will never be forgotten. In 2016 the release of the single Formation at the Super Bowl was looked at with confusion the viewers not knowing this song yet where hungry for what Beyoncé would release next. Lemonade was birthed from her husband's infidelity, powered by anger, sadness, betrayal, and rage Beyoncé creates a masterpiece of R&B and pop that needs to be studied .
